BANNU: At
least four people including two police and a child were killed and 12 others
injured in a powerful suicide blast at a police van near Melad Park in Bannu,
Geo News reported Tuesday.
According to hospital sources, the suicide bomber attacked a police van near City Police station, killing two police personnel on the spot.
DIG Iftikhar Khan said at least 12 people were injured in the attack.
According to police, the entire area has been put under security cordon with search operation in progress.
All injured and bodies have been shifted to hospital, where emergency has been enforced.
A suspected man has been arrested thus far from the area during search operation and is being interrogated.
